Welcome to BEST START STEM—where middle school students discover the exciting world of emerging energy sciences and technologies that power our future. Through our one-week Energy Science Summer Camps, students entering grades 6–8 dive into hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and guided discussions designed to spark curiosity, build critical thinking, and inspire the next generation of innovators. Aligned with our mission to accelerate resilient energy solutions for both civilian and military applications, these camps offer an accessible, engaging introduction to real-world energy challenges and opportunities—helping young minds see themselves as part of a stronger, more sustainable STEM workforce.
